Builtin is excited to announce the launch of a new completion guarantee for residential construction projects. The policy covers up to 10% of the contract value, to a maximum of $100,000.

It provides peace of mind to homeowners (and their mortgage lenders) if their builder is unable to complete the contract.

It means their deposit is protected and a new contractor can be sourced (with Builtin's help if needed) to complete the work. If additional costs arise as a consequence, these are also covered up to the policy limit.

The policy is a loss of deposit and non-completion guarantee only, so there is no post-completion defects cover included. This means it can easily be bolted onto existing defect-only policies.
