What Is It?
Builtin's Residential Completion Guarantee provides peace of mind to homeowners (and their mortgage lenders) if their builder is unable to complete the contract.
It covers up to 10% of the contract value, to a maximum of $100,000.
It means their deposit is protected and a new contractor can be sourced (with Builtin’s help if needed) to complete the work. If additional costs arise as a consequence these are also covered up to the policy limit.
Who Backs It?
The policy is a loss of deposit and non-completion guarantee only, so there is no post-completion defects cover included. This means it can easily be bolted on to existing defects-only policies.
